Drinking Lots of Vegetable Juice
Recently, we bought an Omega Juicer 8003 from the U.S. If you buy direct from Omega, you can get the 220/240 volt model for the same price as the 120V model, which is only $229 USD!
If the machine was sold in China, it would have been at least double the U.S. price! We got our VitaMix (220V) in China for almost triple the Costco price. We had no choice because Vitamix does not sell the 220V in the U.S., so we had to pay the exorbitantly high China import tax.
Anyway, we use the Omega Juicer to make fresh vegetable juice. We’ve been doing some research about improving our general health by eating a healthier diet, thanks to Iris who inspired us to live/eat healthier. We’re learning that there’s a huge benefit in drinking vegetable juice. There are many nutrients and living enzymes found in raw vegetables that are usually gone when we cook vegetables. Drinking vegetable juice is a great way for your body to absorb all the nutrients and living enzymes. It’s also a great way to do a body detox diet.
Last week, we joined a local organic farm (Bio Farm) program and will be receiving a weekly basket of organic vegetables. Since we’ll be eating/drinking raw vegetables, it’s best to use organic vegetables.
Every morning, we drink a glass of juice that consists of carrots, kale, spinach, celery, Swiss chard, cucumber, cilantro, sweet potato, apple, and flaxseed. What a great way to start the day!
We feel so healthy already!
