Simpleviewer Plugin for Wordpress

A few weeks, we mentioned in a post about changing our photo slideshow format to using SimpleViewer. Previously, we used AutoViewer, written also by the same guy, but we found SimpleViewer to be much nicer to view photos because it includes a thumbnail feature so that viewers could just click on the pictures they want to see instead of viewing the entire slideshow. The one feature not included that would have been nice is the auto-play slideshow feature. Also, the captions don’t appear as nicely as the AutoViewer (inside the large picture). In any case, this is the format that we’ll use from now on to display our photos.

Recently, a new SimpleViewer Wordpress plugin came out which makes it even easier to include picture slideshows on Wordpress blogs. With the regular SimpleViewer (using Google Picasa), you have to first use Picasa to write comments, modify picture filenames (optional), generate HTML code, modify HTML code (optional), upload the folder to the server, than create a new post using <iframe> to display the pictures. Now, with the Wordpress plugin, all you need to do is upload the photo folder, then one-click SimpleViewer slideshow generator, and it’s done. To display the slideshow to a new post, just add a simple code! You can also add comments easily as well. It’s so much more simpler and efficient! However, the slideshow display looks slightly different from the regular SimpleViewer.
