Over Thanksgiving weekend, we went to Taiwan for Wu family reunion. It was the first time since 1986 that the entire Wu family was gathered together in Taiwan, with a few additions to the family. 
It was also Jason’s first time visiting Taiwan. Prior to the trip, Jason was told that Taiwan is all about eating. Despite the “warning”, he was completely unprepared for the eating spree that took place the entire span of the trip, It was non-stop eating, everything from street food to night market food to grandma’s 80th birthday dinner to PeiHwa’s engagement party (which was more like a wedding feast with 15 dishes). He gained a whopping 1 kg from the trip!
On Sunday (26th), we also celebrated our ONE YEAR wedding anniversary! It didn’t t seem like a year at all! We were treated to a nice spa/hotel package at Spring City Resort in Peitou. It was a gift from Auntie Yang! What blessings! Peitou is famous for its natural hot springs. The hotel had both outdoors and indoors hot spring. Our room also had a private pool with natural flowing mineral water. Ahh… the luxuries and the blessings.
It has been a very good first year. We have much to be thankful for and will be spending some time in reflection.
