This is a walkthrough of our first home! It’s in a development called Classic Gaudii (城市经典) in the Zhang Jiang Hi-Tech Park. It’s currently under construction and our apartment comes “mao pei” (毛胚）, which means, it comes with no interior at all. It’s just a shell. We’ll have to hire a contractor to do all the interior. That will be many many trips to Home Depot-like stores to buy everything (sinks, toilets, doors, floors, paint, lights, etc…), not to mention all the things needed to furnish the place. It will take a long time and estimated move-in date is summer 2007!
