Once again, we will be hosting another charity game night this Saturday! (Click here to read post introducing charity game nights.) Come join us for some pizza and games! Scrabble, Taboo, Risk, Cranium, Settlers of Catan, Apples to Apples, Saboteur, Shanghai Rummy, Carcassone, and many many more.

Last month’s charity game night, we raised over 1200 RMB, contributions from many who came to play games! All the donations went toward paying tuitions for underprivileged students from rural China.

This Saturday’s donations will be given to Huge Grace Orphanage. Huge Grace is an orphanage located in the outskirts of Shanghai, about 90 minutes from Pudong. They receive orphans with disabilities and put them through various treatments including surgeries and therapy. After the children recover, they are placed back in their original orphanage.

SMIC Community Service Club will partner with Huge Grace Orphanage this school year in various events such as student visits to the orphanage, charity sales, and many more.
