Thisentryis part 2 of 4 in the series Interesting News

Current events happening on our side of the Pacific:

  • People fight for seats whenever the subway or bus door slides open, but who’s ever heard of anyone jumping through the window to get a seat??!!
  • Interesting designs for the 2008 Olympics stadium in Beijing
  • China is cooking up more fake stuff. Watchout while you cook because those seasonings could be quite poisonous! Is it really the Shanghai Philharmonic Orchestra you’re listening to? Stay away from artificial rain! And how do you know whether the drugs you’re taking is real or not?
  • Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Summit will be held on June 15 in Shanghai. Heads of states from six member countries will be in town, thus as safety measure, the government is shutting down all schools, companies, major roads and transportations for 3 days from June 14-16. Unfortunately, we have to make up for the missed work/school days the weekend before. Embrace for NINE consecutive days of school/work!!
