Lots and Lots of Postage!

Today, Jason went to the post office to buy stamps so that we can send letters and packages to all different parts of the world. We had different size/weight letters and packages, thus, different postage rates per mail ranging from 1.6 RMB to 11.4 RMB. Did you know that chinese stamps come in only two denomination? 6 RMB and 80 cents stamps!! (or at least that was the case with the post office Jason went to) Unfortunately, they didn’t have many 6 RMB stamps left (only letters overseas require them and not many people send letters overseas), so they gave Jason a bunch of 80 cents stamp, of which they are the size of two regular American stamps! The 6 RMB is twice as big as the 80 cent stamp! Can you imagine trying to put 8 HUGE stamps on a regular sized envelope?!?! I kid you not. The stamps covered pretty much all available space left on the envelope. Ha ha… this is just too funny.

This is ridiculous, like many other things in here. Luckily I’ve never had to send anything from China.
