24 Season 3

Perfect way to waste 24 hours completely glued to the screen (and we finished it in 4 days!), but do have to say, watching it on the big screen projector is awesome! Only during vacation time… and sadly, our 3-4 weeks of Chinese New Years break have come to an end.
Susan is back to work at school and Jason has decided to spend the next couple of weeks/months studying Chinese at home via Chinese newspaper, Chinese Bible, Chinese soap operas, and Chinese Bible study. We realize what’s most necessary for the timebeing is to be conversant (listening/oral) and understand Biblical vocabulary, which Fudan University language program does not emphasize enough. Also, the 2 hours commute to school each day is very taxing. So, doing self-study at home allows the flexibility to focus on the more practical Chinese as well as more time to job search, read up on the latest scientific research, and be involved with the local community.
Coming up this week:
- Thursday: Interview and presentation with Roche, one of the few (and the first) leading pharmaceutical companies in the world with R & D in China
- Saturday: First couples fellowship meeting at our place
And lastly, one year ago today (Valentines Day), Jason and Susan were engaged in Cleveland, Ohio. The journey of faith has been exciting, watching and waiting upon the Lord to unveil His great plans and purpose for us.
Thanks for journeying with us.

I know someone at Roche - give me a call if you want to chat with them - they are the manager of Communications there.
